What parents are saying…

FOUNDERS:BEN & SHERI JONES

If you haven’t met us before we are a husband and wife team with four wonderful children. We are also serial entrepreneurs, investors and philanthropists with an unshakeable optimism for young people and entrepreneurship. As our kids started to grow up they started to want incomes of their own. It was important to us to give them the financial education we never had in school.

We felt that they best way was to help them take what they are passionate about and turn it into profitable businesses. After starting a business with our son, we kept getting asked by other parents how to do it. We looked everywhere for a quality education program where we could send them but couldn’t find anything. So we decided to create our own.

Over the years we have worked with hundreds of families, showing them how to help their kids become financially independent and achieve their own goals and dreams.

The kids we have mentored have gone on to create awesome businesses and received recognition in local, national and international newspapers, radio and TV coverage as well as national and international awards. Some of them are even earning more than their School Principal’s (one even wrote a book about it!) and a bunch of them are looking at buying houses before they are 18.

These days we love sharing what we’ve learned on our journey as parents of budding entrepreneurs. For us there is nothing more satisfying than the excitement young people have when they start making their first business income!

TEAM UK:TONY & CAITLINARGYLE

CAITLIN ARGYLE

If you haven’t met me before I’m a young entrepreneur with a passion to teach other young people the life skills I have learnt about finance and business so they can set their own goals and create their own income.

After being mentored and creating my own businesses I am now able to spend time doing things I love. I have had multiple businesses, in the toy niche, social media content, sales and baking niche that have all made a profit. I have also run a crowdfunding campaign for my first investment property which saw me featured on the Australian television show ‘The Project’ as well as appearing on national news with Channel 7 and breakfast TV with Channel 9 Australia. I have even been flown in as a keynote speaker at a property industry conference.

It’s not just been the money I’ve made, but the skills I have learnt from each of these ventures that I will have with me for life, giving me confidence in my future.
Now, together with my Dad Tony, I want to be able to inspire and teach other young aspiring entrepreneurs the skills and knowledge to be able to create their own business, even before they finish school.

TONY ARGYLE B COMM C.A.(RET)

Initially trained as an accountant, I spent the early years of my life in both chartered accounting and corporate accounting as well as management, serving as Chief Financial Officer, Company Secretary and Circulation Manager for an independent New Zealand newspaper. In 1996 at the age of 27 I made the transition to entrepreneur when, with my wife Leanne, we purchased a jewellery store. We ran this successfully for 12 years, during which time I joined the board of the Gemtime New Zealand national jewellery chain (now part of Showcase Australia). During that period we also branched out into furniture retail, purchasing an existing store and opening another.

In 2009 we sold up and moved from New Zealand to Australia where we have spent the last ten years involved in management and marketing consultancy and other ventures with business partners in both the online and offline space. In 2019 we made the choice to become global citizens and thanks to our dual citizenship, and an income that is no longer location dependent, now spend much of our time travelling and living in various parts of the world.

I have always been passionate about financial education, particularly where my own children, Caitlin and Matthew, are concerned. My involvement in Youth in Business is a
natural extension of the desire I have to see young people develop the skills they need in business and financial matters to survive and thrive in the 21st century.

TESTIMONIAL

I bought along my two children to the workshop and we just loved it! I was unprepared for how much I was going to learn myself at the workshop. Ben & Sheri’s training is just fantastic! I love their style, they are engaging, accessible and its clear and informative for all ages. Anyone who is considering going to this workshop, it will be best investment of your time you can make!

PARTNERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES & SPONSORSHIP

Right now, more than at any time in history, our young people have the greatest opportunity to become resourceful; to learn the skills and tools to support themselves and their families into the future. What is lacking, however, are the educational systems to get them started into the world of entrepreneurship at a young age.

Youth in Business, already highly successful in Australia, has helped over 3000 with over $1.5M in sales in just 3 short years. Branching out our reach to the UK will bring a more global opportunity for our youth, developing friendship and the necessary skills for our future leaders – skills that they don’t currently learn within the framework of the education system.

We are looking for sponsors and joint venture partners who are also passionate about nurturing our young people into developing these awesome skills – who are willing to stand alongside them and give them the help they need to become our leaders and job creators of the future. If this sounds like something you would like to get behind please see our sponsorship opportunities detailed below

CORY CROMBIE

“I have made about £750 in the last two months selling protein balls. I have never made this much money this easily!

Having that sort of cash feels really good. I feel less dependant on Mum and Dad and I think its cool we are able to support ourselves.

I think joining the program has been one of the best decision we’ve ever made”

CHLOE TREND

“In my first month I made over £300 from selling T-shirts.” That was just the beginning for 12 year old Chloe. Along with her school teacher mother Sue they started putting together online science classes to help children learn. In their first month they made over £600 and they are making this and more each month as her subscription based business grows. ” I feel really motivated to set goals.” says Chloe and believes her business will only keep increasing as they add more subscribers.
